What does Pink Ribbon do?
Pink Ribbon is part of KFW Dutch Cancer Society, but they focus specifically on breast cancer. In addition to being actively involved in research into the treatment and prevention of breast cancer, they are also there for the people who are or have had it.
Together with others, funds and talents, they take action in the field of treatment, aftercare and long-term effects of breast cancer. A rigorous selection process is used to ensure that the highest quality research is conducted towards these goals. In this way, the funds are used efficiently.
By sharing information about breast cancer and its consequences, more and more awareness is being created. Often these things seem so far away, but it can sometimes come eerily close. Every year, more than 3,000 people (99.2% of whom are women) still die in the Netherlands from the effects of breast cancer. That's about 9 every day. Change starts with you.
